Good tips passed down from past Penn JCSCs!

What to do your first week

.1. Go through my yearbook, online or the paper version

 2. Organize your file drawers and desk

 3.         Take a campus tour with Rachel Saifer Goldman or student

 4.         Put your name and message on voicemail

 5.         Get copies of keys from Rachel and Jeremy

 6.         Get business cards or pens made call Gail at HGP or make them up at Kinkos

 7.         Get your Penn ID card and an email account call Joan or the Chaplains office

 8.         Become familiar with the computer learn how to use Outlook, Microsoft Publisher, Word, Access and Donor Perfect

 9.         Begin making student contacts (students on NSO Committee, RJC board, JLLs that have already been hired)

 10.     Go to the RA resource fair and make connections with RAs, House Deans and other College House staff members

 11.     Make some signs to table with during the first few weeks of school

 12.     Make any sign-up sheets for different programs or groups to be used at NSO and Open Houses.

 13.     Plan for High Holidays

 14.     Introduce yourself to with key contact people throughout the University (staff at Office of Student Life, Office of Fraternity and Sorority Affairs, Office of the Chaplain, and Counseling services)

 15.     Have fun!

 16.     Call Jenny when you get frazzled!
